maybe it’s just me, but I feel like this cleanser is not the best at removing mascara. It does the job, however, I always feel like there’s some sort of residue left. other than that it’s a really great cleanser.
I haven't even had this for a week and I know it's a game changer. It's so satisfying how much gunk it takes out when I double cleanse with this. My skin feels and looks so much better already!
I’ve been using this product for a while now, and my skin likes it.
I have combination skin with hormonal acne. I manage this with a routine of Spironolactone medicine and tretinoin topical (0.025%) my dermatologist prescribed for me along with Azelaic Acid topical. My dermatologist has in the past said that applying any oil to the skin with hormonal acne may cause more breakouts due to the nature of hormonal acne and how oil works with this (too much to explain for a review). I was curious about double cleaning with an oil because I wear sunscreen everyday, put concealer under my eyes and wear blush. I typically use micellar water to remove my makeup and sunscreen, follow up with a water based cleanser then follow my night routine as normal (essence, hydrating toner, moisturizer, acne treatments). I wanted to try this out but was hesitant due to putting the oil on my skin which my dermatologist cautioned about. I can say that my skin seems a bit irritated after a few days with tiny little acne spots appearing under the skin and my skin is a bit inflamed and itchy and has some dry flaky patches after use. At this point in time I am not sure this product is for me but I think it could be because of my specific type of acne (hormonal acne reacts differently). I plan to try using this just to remove my eye makeup and continue to use micellar water to remove my sunscreen and other face makeup. I thought the packaging was really good and I liked that the lid of the pump can lock. I am sad this doesn’t seem to work for me but again think it is just my specific type of acne reacting. I hope this helps anyone else who may be on the fence about an oil cleanser due to acne. If you have a makeup/sunscreen cleansing method that currently works for you and you’re curious about another product I think you should try it if you want to!! But also realize that just because other people may rave about the effects of another product for them it just might not work for you and your current method may already be what works best for you. I hope this helps.
i was deciding whether or not to go with this oil cleanser or the manyo one and i’m glad i chose haruharu. the cleanser is unscented, which i love and it melts my makeup right off when i apply it. after washing my face, my skin instantly feels soft. i absolutely love love love this oil cleanser and will continue to repurchase it!
